Building Distinct Identities for Three Different Artists

Collective Entertainment, Inc. (2024)

INFO

Collective Entertainment is an artist management and creative agency working across music, sports, and media. I worked with three of their artists, building each a brand identity rooted in research into their sound, dream career, role models, and existing audience, so every identity looked and felt distinct.

That approach came together most fully with Justin Wilder, whose crowdfunded pursuit of a country career gave me a built-in audience and story to design around. I built his brand guidelines and release guide, then applied that direction to cover art and social campaign creative for two singles.

JUSTIN WILDER

Utilizing Justin’s answers to Collective Entertainment’s signature brand questionnaire, I built his brand guidelines and release guide, then translated that direction into cover art for two singles and the social campaign creative that supported their release.

ERIC D’MAUJ

Eric's funk and R&B sound called for a completely different visual language than Justin's. I developed his creative direction and a style guide grounded in that genre and his personal influences, which he then used to guide a full photoshoot which I had the pleasure of color grading to match the look and feel of the rest of his brand.

For Mel, a pop rock artist, I led creative direction and merch design, establishing an early visual identity ahead of a fuller brand guideline system.
